Who is a Shia

Someone told Imam Husain Ibne Ali (a.s.): O son of Allah’s Messenger, I am your Shia. His Eminence (a.s.) said:

Fear Allah, and don’t claim that for which Allah labels you as a liar and transgressor because our Shias are those whose souls are immune from all kinds of deceit, hypocrisy and cheating. Just say that you are our fan.

Who is a Shia

A man came to Imam Hasan Ibne Ali (a.s.) and said: O son of Prophet! I am from your Shias.

His Eminence (s.a.w.s.) said: O servant of Allah, if you are really obedient in our commands and prohibitions, then indeed you are true.

If not then you must not increase your sin by claiming an excellence you don’t deserve and don’t say that you are from our Shia. Just say that you are our friend and fan and enemy of your enemies. In this way also you would be upon righteousness.

Shias are foremost dwellers of Paradise

A man asked his wife to go to Lady Fatima Zahra (a.s.) and ask her if he was from her Shias. That woman did so.

Lady Fatima Zahra (s.a.) replied: Go and tell your husband, if he acts upon our commands and abstains from that which we have prohibited, then indeed he is our Shia, otherwise not.

The woman returned and told her husband what Lady Fatima (s.a.) had said. Her husband said: Woe upon me, who is it that can be immune from all sins? I will burn in the fire of Hell forever because one who is not included among their Shias will dwell in Hell forever. The wife again came to Lady Fatima (s.a.) and mentioned the husband’s remarks.

Lady Fatima (s.a.) said: Go and tell him that it is not so. The fact is that our Shias are foremost dwellers of Paradise. All our fans, friends of our friends, enemies of our enemies and those who accept us with sincerity, if they oppose our commands and prohibitions they may not be our Shias but still they will go to Paradise, but only after they are purified of their sins by being subjected to hardships and calamities or by bearing hardships on Judgment Day or being punished in the top layer of Hell till they are freed from there as a result of love towards us and come to us.

Friendship Towards Hazrat Ali (as)

The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said:

Friendship towards Ali (a.s.) is such a good deed in presence of which no sin, however great, can harm. But in order to purify such sinners they have to suffer some worldly hardships and they get some punishment in hereafter till they are absolved of their sins through the intercession of their purified masters.

Whereas love for the enemies of Ali (a.s.) and opposition of Ali (a.s.) is such a sin that in its presence no good deed can benefit. But through the enmity of Ali (a.s.) they surely get benefit of worldly bounties and good health and when they pass away, they are involved in a severe chastisement in the hereafter.

Then he said: Denier of Ali’s guardianship will not even see Paradise but he will be shown only as much to know that if he had been friend of Ali (a.s.), this palace would have been there for him by learning about it his sorrow and regret would increase.

One who loves Ali (a.s.), is disgusted with his enemies and honors his successors, will not even see the fire of Hell. But indeed, he would be shown that if he had been on the path opposed to this, that would have been his destination.

If he committed sins other than disbelief he will be sent to Hell to abide in it till his sins are purified like the warm water of bath cleans the dirt from body. After that he will enter Paradise through the intercession of his honorable masters.

Then His Eminence (a.s.) said: O Shias, fear Allah, indeed you’ll get Paradise though it be late due to your bad deeds. You must try to get better grades in it.

Someone asked: O Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w.s.), would any of your and Ali’s friend also go to Hell?
He replied: Yes. Those who have made their souls unclean by opposing Muhammad and Ali (a.s.) and by oppressing the faithful men and women and disobeying our law.

That man will arrive on Judgment Day in unclean and filthy condition. Muhammad and Ali (a.s.) will tell him: O man you are covered with such dirt and filth that you are not fit to accompany your righteous masters, heavenly fairies and proximate angels unless and until you become pure from the dirt of the sins you are responsible of. Then he will be made to enter the first level of Hell and there he will be involved in a severe punishment for his other sins.

Some guilty persons will suffer great hardships in the field of resurrection. Then from there some pious Shias sent by their masters will pick them up as birds pick grains. Sins of some Shias are very minor and light. They become pure after suffering hardships from kings etc. and suffering physically in the world. So their sins are forgiven by the time they are buried.

Some Shias are such that their sins are not forgiven by the time of death, so they feel severe agonies of death; and this is the expiation of their sins. And if some sins are still left on him and they are very severe and if he feels uneasiness or horror on Judgment Day and people flee from him, this disgrace will also be expiation of his sins.

If some sins are still left, then, when his body is placed in the grave and people disperse, leaving him alone, then the fatigue of his loneliness will be the expiation of his sins.

If his sins are more and great, they will be forgiven through bearing the severities of the field of resurrection. If they are still more, he will be sent to the upper level of Hell and purified of his sins. This is the greatest punishment that our fans (Mohib) may have to suffer.

And these are the greatest sinners among them and they are not our Shias. They are called our fans. They are friends of our friends and enemies of our enemies because our Shias are those who obey us, who follow our path and emulate our deeds.

One The Best Virtues of a Shia

Imam Jafer e Sadiq (a.s.) narrates that one day I and my father Imam Mohammed Baqir (a.s.) went to the mosque of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.w.), when I saw a group of my fathers companions sitting between the prophet's grave and the pulpit my father went near them and saluted them and said.

”By  Allah (s.w.t.) I love your smell and your souls help us  love you  by being pious and by sincere efforts and you should know that our mastership can be achieved only by being pious and by sincere efforts towards good deeds.

One who claims to be from a group, then his actions should be in accordance to the actions of that group. You are the followers and helpers of Allah (s.w.t.). You are the  ones who preceed everyone from amongst the earlier ones and the later ones (in good deeds). You preceed in our love in this world and will preceed in going to Paradise in the hereafter.

I guarantee you paradise on the basis of the gurantee of Allah (s.w.t.) and the Holy Prophet(s.a.w.w.). All the beleiveing women are Houries and all the beleivers are most truthful (Siddiq)."

Hazrat Ali (a.s.) often told Hazrat Qambar that,

”May I give you a glad tiding  which you may then spread to others that, By Allah (s.w.t.) when the Holy Prophet departed from this world he  was displeased with everyone from his Ummat  except the Shias.

Take heed that for every thing there is an authenticity and honour and , Shias are the authenticity and honour of religion.

Take heed that for every thing   there is a leader, and the leader of the all the gatherings is the gatherings of  Shias, and for every thing there is a chief and the chief of the land is that land wherein Shias dwell, and every thing has a desire and the desire of the world is that it is inhabited by Shias.

By Allah (s.w.t.), if anybody of you had not been on this earth then your enemies would never have enjoyed its benefits and they  will not benefit in the hearafter and our enemies  how much so ever he prays and how much so ever he tries will always desrve the verse “

عَامِلَةٌ نَّاصِبَةٌ () toiling [under burdens of sin], worn out [by fear], (88:3)
 تَصْلَى نَارًا حَامِيَةً   about to enter a glowing fire, (88:4)

And if your enemy asks Allah (s.w.t.) for something against you, Allah (s.w.t.) will accept his dua but in your favor.

And whosoever amongst you asks from Allah (s.w.t.) for one of his wishes Allah (s.w.t.) will fulfill his 100 wishes and whosoever does a good deed it will be recorded infinite no of times. And if a Shia does something wrong  then the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.w.) becomes his saviour from its after effects.

By Allah (s.w.t.) those amongst you who fast do hold elevated positions in the gardens of paradise and the angels will pray for their success till Iftar. And those amongst you who do hajj and umrah will be amongst the closest people of Allah (s.w.t.).

You all are entitled to the call  of Allah (s.w.t.) (for the feast) and his mastership. You will not be frightened or sorrowful  of anything and you all would be in Paradise. Compete with each other in doing good deeds.

By Allah (s.w.t.) (after us) no one would be more nearer to  the Throne of Allah (s.w.t.) than our Shias. Allah (s.w.t.) has been very curtious to them. If there would have been  no fear of your laziness and the enemies taunting you and people considering it to be too great then definitely the angels would have come in the open to salute you.

Amirul Momeneen (a.s.) then said that those who love us and accept our mastership will not be frightened or sorrowful of anything when they rise from the graves though others would be terrified and sorrowful.”

Who are the Lofty Ones ????????

Abu sayeed Khidri narrates that once we were sitting with the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.w.)  when a person came and asked the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.w.)  about the following verse of the Quran.

"O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Are you proud? Or are you one of the lofty ones?" (38:75)

He asked the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.w.)  who are the lofty ones referred to in this verse who are better than the angels.?

The Holy Prophet replied that those people are I, Ali (a.s.), Fatema (s.a.), Hasan (a.s.) and Hussain (a.s.). We used to praise Allah (s.w.t.) 2000 years prior to the creation of Adam (a.s.) surrounding the throne. Listening to our praise The angels too learned to praise Allah (s.w.t.).

When Allah (s.w.t.) created Adam (a.s.) he commanded the angels to prostate before him. He did not order us to prostate before Adam. All the angels obliged except Iblis, who denied immediately. Then Allah (s.w.t) told him “You were proud, or were you really from one of the lofty ones?.

Allah (s.w.t.) has refered to these five personalities as lofty ones whose names were written on the surrounding of  the foundation of the throne. Then we are the door towards Allah (s.w.t.) through which guidance is sought and the one who is guided through us is truly guided. Allah (s.w.t.) loves the one who loves us and will give him a place in paradise and hates the one who harbors enmity towards us and will throw him in hell. And non can love us except the one who is pure in birth. (legitimate)

Question About 4 Things

It is narrated from Amir ul Momineen (a.s.) who says that the Holy Prophet said that,

“On the day of judgment nobody will be able to move a step ahead until he is questioned about 4 things
1. How he spent his youth.
2.How he spent his entire life.
3.How he earned and spent his wealth and
4.The love of us Ahlulbait (a.s.).”

Love for Hazrat Ali (as), is firmest faith

It is narrated from zaid bin sabit who says tht the Holy Prophet said that,

“The one who loves Ali during his life time or after his martyrdom from him will Allah (s.w.t.) write  peace and  firmest faith till the time the sun continues to rise and set and the one harbors enmity for Ali (a.s.) during his life or after his martyrdom, he dies the death of ignorance and will be accounted for each and every thing he did.”

Love Of Maula Ali (as) will be helpful on the bridge

Imam Baqir (a.s.) says that the Holy Prophet has said that

“From amongst you the most firm on the bridge (siraat) will be the one who loves my Ahlul Bait (a.s.) the most.

Imam Baqir (a.s.) has narrated from his ancestors that the Holy Prophet used to say that,

“O Ali if the one who sincerely and truly loves you slips on the bridge then the love for you will make his feet firm till the time Allah (s.w.t.) makes him enter heaven because of the love for you.”

Conclusion:
The above two Ahadees clearly show that those who love Ahlulbait (as) will be firm on the bridge (pul e sirat) and even if their feet fumble then the love for Maula Ali (as) will make his feet firm and keep it so till Allah (s.w..t) makes him enter heaven:

A beautiful Khudba of the Holy Prophet, showing the merits of the lovers of Maula Ali (a.s.)

(Ref: Fazail - ush - Shia By Shaikh Sudook, Hadees No. 1)

Narrates Ibne Umer ,He says that “When We Inquired from the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.w.) about Hazrat Ali (a.s.),the Holy Prophet got infuriated and said.

“What has happened to these people who ask me about him whose respect and position near Allah (s.w.t.) is the same as mine,

Take heed that the one who loves Ali (a.s.) indeed loves me, and the one who loves me with him Allah (s.w.t.) is definitely pleased, and that will suffice for paradise.

Take heed that the one who loves Ali (a.s.) will not meet his death till he drinks the water of Kausar, tastes the fruit of Tuba and sees his palace in heaven , in this world itself.

Take heed that the namaz, fasts and rising (for the sake of religion )of the one who loves Ali (a.s.) will be accepted and all his prayers will be answered.

Take heed that the one who loves Ali (a.s.) for him would the angels seek forgiveness and for him all the 8 gates of heaven be opened and he would enter heaven unaccounted from which ever gate he wishes.

Take heed that the one who loves Ali (a.s.) would receive his books of accounts in his right hand, and Allah (s.w.t.) would take his accounts as He would take the account of Prophets.(ie with utmost respect)

Take heed that the one who loves Ali (a.s.) for him will Allah reduce the difficulty at the time of death and will make his grave as one of the gardens of paradise.

Take heed that the one who loves Ali (a.s.) to him will Allah (s.w.t.) give as many fairys (Houries) as the blood vessels in his body and will accept his intercession in favor of 80 people from his family and will grant him a fairy (Hourie) and a city in heaven equal to the number of hairs on his body.

Take heed that the one who loves Ali (a.s.) to him will Allah (s.w.t.) send the angel of death with the  same splendor as he sends to the Prophets , will protect him from the fright of Munkir and Nakir, will  enlighten his face and he will be with Hazrat Hamza the leader of the martyrs (before Karbala ) in paradise.

Take heed that the one who loves Ali (a.s.), in his heart will Allah (s.w.t.) establish wisdom and will make words of goodness flow from his tongue and will open the doors of mercy on him.

Take heed that the one who loves Ali (a.s.) his name in the heavens and earth would be slave of Allah (s.w.t.)

Take heed that the one who loves Ali (a.s.), an angel announces from heaven, telling him, O, servant of Allah (s.w.t.), Allah (s.w.t.) has forgiven all your past sins and start your accounts afresh.

Take heed that the one who loves Ali (a.s.),on the day of Judgment he will come with such splendor that his face will be enlightened like that of the full moon on a dark night.

Take heed that the one who loves Ali (a.s.), on his head will Allah (s.w.t.) place a magnificent crown and will bestow on him a gown of respect.

Take heed that the one who loves Ali (a.s.), will pass from the bridge like lightening.

Take heed that the one who loves Ali (a.s.),for him will be written safety from hell, the bridge and  punishment of the hereafter and his books of accounts would not be opened and nor for him be put up the scale for weighing deeds and he will be told to enter into heaven without any accounting.

Take heed that the one who loves Ali (a.s.),with him will the angles shake hands and him will the Prophets come to visit him and Allah (s.w.t.) will fulfill all his needs.

Take heed that the one who loves Aale Mohammed (a.s.) will not be frightened from accounting, the scale and the bridge.

Take heed that the one who dies on the love of Aale Mohammed (a.s.) I take guarantee that he will be with the Prophets in heaven.

Take heed that the one who dies on the enmity of Aale Mohammed (a.s.), will not be able to smell the fragrance of heaven.
